Mikro Kapital IFN S.A. has issued a series of recommendations addressed to its clients in order to prevent online fraud attempts, given the increasing number of such incidents at both national and international levels. The purpose of these attempts is to gain access to clients’ funds by obtaining personal data.
Deception is carried out through various traps such as social media advertisements, fake emails, or phone calls.
Recommendations for protecting personal information include:
- Refraining from disclosing any access information to banking applications, such as usernames, passwords, one-time passwords, or other credentials.
- Avoiding the download of any applications such as AnyDesk.
- Avoiding accessing links received from unknown sources and refraining from providing personal or banking data through such links. In case of suspicion regarding an offer, it is recommended not to access the respective materials and to verify the existence of the promotion or offer through the company’s official communication channels.
- Avoiding so-called “investment opportunities” offered by unknown individuals via email, SMS, or phone calls, who may claim to represent Mikro Kapital or other financial institutions. Such opportunities often involve money transfers.
- Being cautious with messages that appear to come from Mikro Kapital IFN S.A. or other financial institutions, and avoiding the provision of confidential data via phone, SMS, or email.
